Menifee, California


Menifee is a city located in the southwestern part of Riverside County, around 30 miles southeast from Riverside with the neighboring cities including Perris, Canyon Lake, Lake Elsinore and Murrieta. The city was named after the miner, Luther Menifee Wilson, who discovered a significant quartz lode in the area in the early 1880's.

There are several communities within the city, including Sun City, Quail Valley and portions of Romoland. Quail Valley is located in the northwestern part of Menifee and is a semi-rural residential community. Romoland is a residential and commercial community situated in the northeastern part of the city.

Residents and visitors appreciate scenic views and an abundance of recreational activities in Menifee due to the close proximity of the San Jacinto Mountains, the San Bernardino Mountains, Mt. Baldy, and the Santa Ana Mountains above Lake Elsinore.
