Murrieta, not to be confused with Rancho Murieta, is a city located in the southwestern part of Riverside County, California with Temecula to the South and Menifee to the North.

According to CQ Press 2007 City Crime Rankings, Murrieta is the 44th safest city in the nation and the safest city in Riverside County. There are 34 parks within the city which include soccer, baseball, tennis, volleyball, swimming, basketball facilities, plus children’s play areas, picnic and barbecue sites. In addition, Murrieta has two major golf courses and a great choice of art and cultural programs for children and adults.
